Gracie Ninjas is our Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program for 4, 5 and 6 year olds in Gilbert, AZ, with 45 minute classes four afternoons a week.
Young children are curious, active, and full of energy they don't always know how to control. They crave structure and thrive in an environment that's supportive, educational, and genuinely fun. That's exactly what we built.
At four, five, and six years old, kids aren't ready for a serious martial arts class, and we don't pretend otherwise. Gracie Ninjas meets them exactly where they are.
Classes are short, high-energy, and structured as games with a purpose. Under all that fun, your child is learning to listen the first time, control their body, take turns, and keep trying when something is hard. Those are the skills that show up at home and in the classroom.
Following directions is a skill, and it can be taught. Every class is built around clear instructions, immediate feedback, and the expectation that our Ninjas listen and respond.
Balance, motor skills, and the awareness of where their body is in space. Kids this age improve fast, and the confidence that comes with it is immediate.
We don't hand out praise for nothing. Confidence here gets built one earned success at a time, and it's the kind that sticks because your child knows they actually did it.
Bowing on the mat. Waiting your turn. Being a good partner. Small habits, repeated, that quietly become character.
Age-appropriate Gracie Jiu-Jitsu basics, taught safely. The building blocks they'll carry into Gracie Kids when they're ready.
You stay and watch. Wear comfortable clothes, no uniform needed. Most kids stop clinging to your leg within about five minutes.
One of our coaches partners your child up and walks them through the class. We've done this with hundreds of four-year-olds. They're in good hands.
By the end of class most parents are surprised. Your 14 days for $14 gives you two full weeks to see if this is their place.
The easiest way to see if martial arts is right for your child. No pressure, no long-term commitment.
Our Gracie Ninjas program starts at age 4. If your child is turning 4 soon, come talk to us and we'll help you decide if they're ready.
Not for the first classes. Comfortable clothes are perfect. We'll let you know when it makes sense to get a gi and help you get the right one.
Then you're in exactly the right place. A lot of our Ninjas start out hiding behind a parent. Our coaches are used to it, and building that first bit of confidence is the whole point.
Yes. Classes at this age are carefully supervised, age-appropriate, and built around control. Safety on the mat is non-negotiable.
Most Ninjas train two times a week. That's enough to build real momentum without overwhelming a young child's schedule.
Absolutely. We want you to. Parents are welcome to watch every class.
